Homegroups are the key way in which we meet together for learning and fellowship. Many of the groups share the leadership of the meetings and a variety of material is used, including home grown studies.
Homegroups meet once a fortnight and are held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday.
At CHMC we regularly run Alpha courses and our own Church membership classes. These aim to offer a variety of opportunities to those who want to look at the claims of Christianity and the teachings of Jesus Christ.
We believe that the Bible is the living word of God and as such not only points us to the truth about God and Jesus Christ, and God's dealings with humanity throughout history, but that this Word also speaks to us today. We hold regular short courses based on sections of Scripture, or on issues which we want to examine in the light of the Bible.
Christian faith affects every aspect of our lives, and our occasional courses reflect some of these practical concerns. We have regular courses based around the Family Caring Trust material “What can a Parent do?”. Parents are offered the opportunity to develop their skills to become more effective in their relationships with their children and with each other.
Whether you are newly married or have been together for forty years, there are always new things to discover about your relationship. This six session course looks at some helpful ways to support your relationship and make your love last. Sessions include listening skills, dealing with conflict and encouragement.
